Avro 504A before Friedrichshafen Raid

Here we see Avro 504A no.874, one of the aircraft allocated to the Royal Naval Air Service to take part in the raid on the Zeppelin factory at Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance on 21 November 1914. This aircraft is being bombed up with four 20lb Hales bombs. It was flown by Flight Lieutenant Sydney Sippe during the raid itself.
