Battle of Brunanburgh, 937

Battle between the combined forces of Wessex and Mercia led by Athelstan and a mixed force of Picts, Scots, Irish Norsemen and Britons, led by the King of the Scots. The battle was won by Athelstan. Its location is unknown, although it was in Northern England.
