The Routledge Atlas of the First World War

The Routledge Atlas of the First World War

A very strong book containing one hundred and sixty four clear maps, explaining the course of the First World War from the political rivalries of the pre-war period, through to the Armistice in 1918. Each major campaign is covered, from the familiar Western Front, to the less well known Eastern front or the different Balkan fronts that developed and collapsed during the war.

There are also maps dealing with the war at sea, the newly developing war in the air and new weapons like poison gas or the tank. A good way to get a grasp of the details of the First World War.
