Here we see the prototype of the L.W.S.3 Mewa reconnaissance aircraft, one of the more modern Polish designs of the late 1930s, but one that failed to enter service in time to fight the Germans in 1939 because of slow deliveries of their French built propellers. The Mewa had a large glazed cockpit, with the wings attached to the side of the glazed area.
