USS Atlanta (1884), c.1908
Here we see the protected cruiser USS Atlanta (1884) c.1908 in the largely white paint scheme of the period. At this date she was being used as a barracks ship by the Torpedo Flotilla at Norfolk, but was clearly still going to sea.
