USS Cabot (CVL-28) at sea, 1945
Here we see the Independence class light fleet carrier USS Cabot (CVL-28) at sea on 26 July 1945. The aircraft on deck give some idea of her size, up from an escort carrier but well down from a full fleet carrier.
