Wardroom of USS Chicago (1885), 1890
Here we see the wardroom of the protected cruiser USS Chicago (1885) as it was in 1890, when the ship was still new. There are very signs that this is a room on a warship, but if one looks closely the ceiling is supported by steel beams.
