Armour Layout of USS Connecticut (BB-18)
These plans show the arrangement of the armour on the Connecticut class battleship USS Connecticut (BB-18). The side plan shows the armour on the gun turrets and conning tower. The middle plans show cross sections at variopus points, and show the side armour and the thinner sloped armour that connects the bottom of the armour belt to the internal armour above the engine spaces. The bottom plan shows the armour around the 8in gun turrets most clearly, along with some of the side armour.
