Fire control top, USS Connecticut (BB-18)
Here we see one of the sailors in the fighting top, high on the mast, of the Connecticut class battleship USS Connecticut (BB-18). The straight edge shows that this picture was taken after she was given cage masts, as the earlier military masts had circular platforms.
