A-7A Corsair II on USS Coral Sea (CVA-43), Gulf of Tonkin, 1969
Here we see the A-7A Corsair II of Lt Commander J. McDermott of VA-86 being prepared for a launch from the Midway class aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea (CVA-43) in the Gulf of Tonkin on 20 December 1969. This was during the Coral Sea's fifth tour of duty off Vietnam.
