CH-47 hovers over USS Coral Sea (CVA-43), 1965
Here we see a Boeing CH-46 Sea Knight hovering over the flight deck of the Midway class aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea (CVA-43) in the South China Sea on 24 March 1965. The helicopter is carrying a cargo net, and the movement of the deck crew towards it suggests it is delivering something to the carrier. This was during the Coral Sea's first tour of duty off Vietnam.
