JATO launch of Lockheed P2V Neptune from USS Franklin D Roosevelt (CV-42)
Here we see a Lockheed P2V Neptune in a JATO launch from the Midway class aircraft carrier USS Franklin D Roosevelt (CV-42) on 2 July 1951. At the time the carrier was cruising with Task Force 21.
