Top of cage mast, USS Georgia (BB-15)
Here we see the top of the cage mast of the Virginia class battleship USS Georgia (BB-15). Working in this area clearly required a good head for heights - even the men inside the mast itself are standing on a net rather than any firm floor, and there are men hanging onto the outside of the cage, as well as along the outer framework!
