Band of USS Illinois (BB-7) play for Prince Henry of Prussia
Here we see the band of the Illinois class battleship USS Illinois (BB-7) playing for Prince Henry of Prussia, brother of Kaiser Wilhelm II, during a reception held for in in February 1902, when she was the flagship of the European Station. Prince Henry is the figure just to the right of the band in the bicorne hat. The band are wearing helmets with spikes, presumably in his honour.
