Model of USS Illinois (BB-7) in model of Cavite Dry Dock
Here we see a model of the Illinois class battleship USS Illinois (BB-7) in a model of the Cavite Floating Dry Dock at an exhibition in 1900. At this point the Illinois was one of the newest battleships in the US Navy, while the dry dock had yet to be built. She wasn't laid down until 1905 and didn't reach the Philippines until 1906.
