Internal Torpedo Room, USS Illinois (BB-7)
Here we see one of the internal torpedo rooms on the Illinois class battleship USS Illinois (BB-7) in 1902. In the middle is a trainable torpedo tube. Behind it is an 18in torpedo behind a grill. Overhead is the rail used to move the torpedo from the storage space to the mouth of the tube.
