USS Langley (CVL-27) being reactivated, 1951
Here we see the Independence class light fleet carrier USS Langley (CVL-27) being reactivated at the Philadelphia Naval Yard in January 1951, ready to be given to France. She was renamed La Fayette in French service and was returned to the United States in 1963 to be scrapped.
