USS Marblehead (C-11) just launched
Here we see the newly launched Montgomery class unprotected cruiser USS Marblehead (C-11) on 11 August 1892. At this point she lacks all superstructures as well as her guns. The launch has attracted an audience in small boats, and there are civilians on deck.
