USS Missouri (BB-11) as training ship, 1917
Here we see the Maine class battleship USS Missouri (BB-11) steaming towards the camera during her time as a training ship in 1917. In the back-left we can see a three mast sailing ship, a reminder of the mix of technology in use during the First World War. Another battleship follows her.
