20mm Guns, Emergency Cabin Platform, USS Pennsylvania (BB-38)
Here we see two 22mm guns in positions on the emergency cabin platform on the Pennsylvania class battleship USS Pennsylvania (BB-38) (presumably the roof of the captain's emergency cabin, which was basically a small bedroom next to the bridge that the ship's commander could use if he wanted to stay close to the bridge during long periods on alert). Each of these gun tubs contains the gun (with shield) and lockers to carry a supply of ready use ammo. The picture was taken on 26 February 1942.
