USS Raleigh (C-8) at battle of Manila Bay
Here we see the Cincinnati class cruiser USS Raleigh (C-8) in action at the battle of Manila Bay (1 May 1898), a very one sided action that destroyed the Spanish fleet in the Philippines. The Raleigh was believed to have fired the first shot of the battle.
