Officers and crew, USS Rhode Island (BB-17), c.1907-8
This colourised view shows us the officers and crew of the Virginia class battleship USS Rhode Island (BB-17) with many of them sitting on the combined aft 12in/ 8in turret. The military masts dates this picture to early in her career, c. 1907, before they were replaced with cage masts.
