Mitsubishi Zero attacks USS White Plains (CVE-66)
Here we see a Mitsubishi Zero coming in to attack the Casablanca class escort carrier USS White Plains (CVE-66) during the battle of Samar (25 October 1944). During the battle the White Plains was damaged by near misses from the Yamato but not hit by either of the two kamikazes that attacked her.
