Cage Mast being installed on USS Wisconsin (BB-9), 1909
Here we see the Illinois class battleship USS Wisconsin (BB-9) having her forward cage mast installed at the Portsmouth Navy Yard in April-May 1909. At this point the original military mast has been removed, but the cage mast has yet to be installed.
