Churchill I from the Front

Churchill I from the Front

Here we see a Churchill I from the front, showing the hull mounted 3in Howitzer and turret mounted 2-pounder anti-tank gun. This tank may have been built as a Churchill II, without the howitzer, and the current gun was added after it was recovered from boggy ground and restored at the Museum of Army Transport at Beverley.

Picture from the author's collection. The tank is in the collection of the very impressive Bovington Tank Museum
