Here we see a page from Douglas Cowlishaw's wartime photo album, with a portrait of Cowlishaw surrounded by some dramatic photographs, including a surrendering German tank, a snake and wrecked German aircraft.
Many thanks to Philip Cowlishaw for sending us these pictures, which came from the collection of his father Douglas Cowlishaw, who served with No.70 Squadron in Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and Italy.
