Curtiss SBC-4 Helldiver in flight

Curtiss SBC-4 Helldiver in flight
Here we see a Curtiss SBC-4 Helldiver in flight. This was the last biplane to enter US naval service, and was still in limited use after the outbreak of war against Japan. This appears to be aircraft number 1268 - the serial is a bit blurred but if this is correct then this is the first SBC-4, and was diverted for test work as a second XSBC-4 then struck off charge on 30 July 1943
