Grumman F4F-4 of VF-41, 1942
Here we see a Grumman F4F-4 of VF-41 in flight early in 1942. This squadron was allocated to the USS Ranger (CV-4), and had been VF-4 until 15 March 1941. Later in 1942 the squadron took part in Operation Torch.
