Here we see the G class destroyer HMS Garland on 5 January 1948, two years after she had been sold to the Netherlands. From 1946 she was used as a school ship, then in 1948 she was converted into an anti-submarine warfare training ship. She wasn't given a new Dutch name until 1950 when she became HNLMS Marnix. This picture was probably taken before the conversion began.
