HMS Gipsy being salvaged, 1943

Here we see part of the G class destroyer HMS Gipsy being salvaged on 21 March 1943. The Gipsy had hit a mine just outside Harwich on 21 November 1939, soon after returning to the UK from the Mediterranean. She was slowly salvaged over the course of the next few years.
