Here we see the H class destroyer HMS Hereward while she was testing the twin 12cm gun mount that was intended for use on the new Tribal class destroyers. Normally she carried two single mounts forward, one where the twin mount is here and one in front of it where the line of crewmen can be seen. The tests were carried out at Gibraltar in January-March 1937 and the single guns restored after they ended.
