Here we see the H class destroyer HMS Hunter in the drydock at Gibraltar on 9 July 1937 after hitting a mine laid by Spanish Nationalist forces while she was enforcing the international policy of non-intervention. The G-class HMS Greyhound is in the background, sideways behind the dry dock gates. The two ships were almost identical semi-sister ships, so the apparent difference in size here is an illusion created by the higher sea level outside the dock.
