Here we see Grumman Hellcats from No.800 Squadron (from HMS Emperor) and Grumman Wildcat Vs of No.882 Squadron (from HMS Searcher) flying over the Attacker class escort carrier HMS Pursuer in the Mediterranean on 20 July 1944, during the build-up to Operation Dragoon, the invasion of the South of France.
