Kongo from USS Pillsbury, Amoy, 1938
Here we see the Japanese battlecruiser Kongo, photographed from the American destroyer USS Pillsbury (DD-227) at Amoy in 1938. She had only just been rebuilt, giving her the pagoda mast and more powerful engines.
