Light Tank Mk VIII Harry Hopkins turret

Light Tank Mk VIII Harry Hopkins turret

Here we see the turret of the Light Tank Mk VIII Harry Hopkins, which resembled the standard turret on British cruiser tanks, with its 'V' shaped sided. The Harry Hopkins was the best British light tank of the Second World War, but by the time it appeared there was no use for it, and it never saw combat.

Picture from the author's collection. The tank is in the collection of the very impressive Bovington Tank Museum
