Hall of the Royal Historical Commission, Palais de Academies, Brussels, late 1918
Here we see the Hall of the Royal Historical Commission in the Palais de Academies at Brussels after the German evacution of the city on 17 October 1918. The building was being used as a military hospital by the Germans, with a farm in the grounds, and the frame to the right was used to hang hams.
