Plans of Formidable and London Class Battleships
These plans show the Formidable class battleships, closely related to the large Majestic class, but using Krupp armour to improve the quality of their protection. They followed the classic British pre-dreadnought layout, with four 12in guns in twin turrets fore and aft and twelve 6in guns, six on each side. Four were on the level below the main guns and two on the same level as the main guns. The London class ships were very similar, but with a different arrangement of armour.
