Formation of Fairey Swordfish II
Here we see a formation of Fairey Swordfish Mk.IIs, marked with D-Day invasion stripes. The Mk.II had metal panels under the wings to allow it to carry four rockets on each side, but could also carry a torpedo, as it lacked the radar pod introduced on the Mk.III.
