Lt D.W. Gay's War Effort - Raid 20 and Propaganda

This page from Lt D.W. Gay's 'War Effort' covers Raid 20 and part of a propaganda newspaper dropped over the German lines.

Raid 20 was an attack on a road bridge at Arsie at the foot of the Alps on 26 February 1945. The raid was counted as a 'lemon' after the attack leader had problems with his complex bomb sight.

Many thanks to Martin Hampton, the son in law of Lt. Gay, for sending us this material. These pages come from Gay's own private notebook which began with similar infomation to his flight log, but became more detailed, and also included a number of interesting items that had been pasted in.
