Cruiser Tank A35

The Cruiser Tank A35 was the last and heaviest in a series of Rolls Royce designs for up-armoured versions of the Cromwell tank. It followed on from the 28 ton A28, the 32 ton A31 and the 34.5 ton A32. In this case the new tank, which was joined designed by Rolls-Royse and the LMS would have weighted 36 tons, and like the A32 would have required stronger suspension. As with the earlier designs the A35 was abandoned at the paper stage.
