The Curtiss XO-12 Falcon was the designation given to the last O-11 Falcon when it was used to test the Pratt & Whitney R-1340 Wasp air cooled radial engine. It was produced by fitting the new Wasp engine in the last aircraft in the first batch of O-11s (BG 27-35). After being used for tests on the engine the aircraft went to the National Guard (still with the Wasp engine) and remained in use until April 1933, when it was scrapped.
