6th Australian Division, Bardia, Late 1940
Here we see a column of troops from the 6th Australian Division, moving up to the front around Bardia, probably in December 1940 (Operation Compass). The Australians attacked and captured Bardia in January 1941. This picture shows part of the escarpment, the steep edge to the desert plateau.
