Fieseler Fi 156E

The Fieseler Fi 156E was produced in attempt to solve the problems caused by the small main wheels of the standard Storch. The single wheels were replaced with tandem-wheels connected by a pneumatic rubber track. Ten pre-production Fi 156 E-0s were built, and the new landing gear successfully reduced the damage caused by ruts and small obstructions on the ground, but no further production followed.
